Tongue River Marina Ice Fishing Report (Feb. 28): Open Water Growing Near Ramp, Marina Bay Still Iced

Tongue River Marina reports 15–20 feet of open water off the ramp, with Marina Bay still mostly iced over but improving. More open water is showing from Rattlesnake south toward the mine as daytime temps warm—boat fishing could be just weeks away.

Tongue River Marina posted the following information on Saturday, February 28th

Right off the boat ramp, there is about 15-20’ of open water, Marina bay is still mostly iced over, but it’s making progress. From Rattlesnake south towards the mine, there was a very large amount of open water. The forecast still shows freezing at night, but 50’s and 60’s during the day, if I had to guess, I’d say a couple more weeks and hopefully it’ll be time to try boat fishing.
