Montana FWP’s New License Ambassador Program: What It Is, Why It’s Replacing the Old System, and What Changes March 1

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is rolling out a new License Ambassador Program ahead of March 1, replacing the longtime License Provider Program due to aging technology. Here’s what we know so far from the Montana Outdoor Podcast—and what to listen for in the full episode.

Big changes are blowing in, and this week on the Montana Outdoor Podcast, Downrigger Dale chats with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ Head of Communications and Education, Greg Lemon, about what’s coming March 1. There are some important hunting regulation updates you’ll want on your radar—but the headline grabber is the brand-new License Ambassador Program. It’s replacing the longtime License Provider Program, not because it didn’t work, but because the old technology finally ran out of road—no parts, no upgrades, no way to add new stores. As Greg says, “something had to change.”

So what’s a License Ambassador, and what can they do that the old system couldn’t? You’ll have to catch the full episode here tomorrow at 6am to find out, but in the meantime, check out this exclusive sneak peek below!
