Hunting and trapping for bobcats to close in Region 4 on Wednesday

Bobcat hunting and trapping in Montana Region 4 ends on February 11 at midnight. Hunters should check quota status online to ensure compliance with regulations before the season closes.

Heads up, cat chasers: by order of the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission, bobcat hunting and trapping in Region 4 is officially coming to a halt. According to FWP, the season closes Wednesday, February 11 at midnight, so if you’re planning one last run, the clock is very much ticking.

Before you load up or hang it up, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks recommends checking the current quota status on their website to stay on the right side of the rules. In other words—do your homework, know the numbers, and don’t be that person explaining things to a game warden after midnight.
