Fort Peck, MT Duck Creek Ice Update 2.6.26

Lakeride Lodging advises caution with current ice conditions, reporting approximately 5.5 inches of ice but acknowledging cracks and open water. Walking is recommended for safety while fishing.

Here’s the latest ice update from Lakeridge Lodging and Bait Shop, following recent temperature changes. Please read carefully for current ice conditions, safety reminders, and guidance before heading out.

Thanks to the colder temps last night the ice was able to do a little healing. It showed right at 6 inches in the video below but im saying 5.5 on the safe side this morning but there are some cracks running from point to point that have open water. Even if it’s the same path you have been running for days, take your time and check the ice as you go. Walk on only is strongly encouraged. Be safe everyone and Fish On!
