Georgetown Lake Ice and Fishing Report 1.14.26

Solid ice is growing fast—and the kokanee are big enough to make Georgetown Lake worth a second look…

From Scott the Painter | January 14, 2026

Here is a fresh Georgetown Lake fishing and ice report. Ice at Comers Point is 7 inches of good ice, no snow or slush. Trout fishing is fair to good, depending on depth. Kokanee fishing is slow, but the size is amazing. One fish caught was pushing 15 inches, the other two are 11 to 13 inches. With the cold night forecasts for the next few nights, I would expect to see the ice gain another 2 to 3 inches by the weekend.
