Elk Goes Full Jurassic Park (On a Goose)

Well, here’s something you don’t see every day! A cow elk apparently decided salad wasn’t cutting it, and in a rare twist, this elk was caught on video hunting starlings and even taking on a family of geese. Despite the geese’s best honking and flapping defense, it managed to snag a gosling for a protein-packed snack while the rest of the flock made a break for the water. I guess it proves that elk aren’t always the gentle grazers we think they are…ruminants like them have been known to mix things up with a little bird, egg, fish, or even snake on the menu. Mother Nature sure loves keeping us on our toes.
