BILLINGS – The Whitebird Fishing Access Site (FAS) is now open to motor vehicle traffic. The FAS closed to motorized access on Oct. 10 so that Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ staff could repair damage to the bridge structure along the sole access road. The damage was causing a public safety risk for vehicle access.

FWP anticipates further repairs to the bridge in 2026 after the bridge is evaluated by structural engineers.
