Wardens seeking information on unlawfully killed bull elk

Be on the lookout!

BILLINGS – Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks game wardens are seeking information on an unlawfully killed six-by-six bull elk left to waste on private property south of Musselshell. The incident occurred on private land off Hawk Creek Road.  

The elk was likely poached during the night of Oct. 25 or early morning Oct. 26. The entire carcass was left to waste.  

Anyone with possible information about this incident is asked to visit tipmont.mt.gov or contact Warden Diego O’Brien at 406-428-8700 to provide details. Callers may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
