Macman’s Flathead Area Fishing Report 10.16.25

From perch at Big Arm to lake trout in Swan, here’s the real scoop on where Montana’s fish are biting—and where they’re just teasing.

Fishermen:
Yesterday I put in at Big Arm and around the point there is a low lying rock wall. In front of that is great fishing for Perch and Small mouth as well.
Swan lake is goof for Lake trout. Will be improved as they begin to spawn
Mackdays Somewhat disappointing starting but will change with weather.
We’ve heard this: Gravel Bay south end, work North.
Reservoir river systems having change in temperature. Bass pike, perch will probably not get real active until ice fishing Flathead has not had a good report for the last two weeks.
In the Flathead Lake temperature changes slower … perch catching is real high.
You can’t turn in fish from Swan lake but at about 80 feet East side of Swan along the highway using 1 1/2 Rattle D Zastors
I am giving a fishing report on the Outdoor Radio Show out of Missoula every Friday.
Good Fishing
