A Bull’s Backyard Adventure

When a backyard becomes a moose obstacle course….

Turns out moose aren’t great at hammocks. Recently east of Bozeman, one bull managed to get itself all tangled up in someone’s backyard lounger. The FWP crew stepped in, gave him a quick nap with a dart, cleared the mess from his antlers, and set him free right there on site.

It happens all the time—wild critters with horns or antlers find themselves snagged on everything from Christmas lights to clotheslines, tarps, fences, and even lawn furniture. The best prevention is keeping gear and loose items stored, but if you ever spot a tangled-up animal, give FWP a call fast. With quick notice, they can usually step in, get them loose, and send them on their way.
