Wildlife Doesn’t Follow Instructions

You can lead a deer to freedom, but you can’t force it to be free…..or something

You have heard the saying, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.” The same holds true for wildlife—because no matter how familiar they may seem, they’re still wild at heart. Whether it’s a herd of elk that vanishes into the timber or a bear that doesn’t show up where it “always does,” wild animals aren’t on our schedules, and they don’t follow our plans. It’s part of what makes encountering them so cool and, sometimes, unpredictable.
