Don Wilkins’ Weekly Fort Peck Fishing Report 8.28.25

The salmon bite is still solid…

Salmon-Decent bite out there still. For the most part this past week the best action was on our gear that was running 75-100 feet down. Brads cut plugs are picking up a few more fish now and flies are still working well also,11” flashers have been working better than 8’s lately

Lake Trout-We did well this past week on flats in 115-130 feet of water, lots of fish schooled up so use your electronics until you start marking some decent numbers of fish before you set up. Kietech 4.8” paddletails and 3/4 ounce jigs did the trick for us

Walleye-picked up a few fish pulling crawlers and bottom bouncers in 14-18 FOW on some main lake and secondary points, found some nicer fish pulling some deeper diving crankbaits as well
