Don Wilkins’ Weekly Fort Peck Fishing Report 7.31.25

Ghost flies at sunrise, chrome streaks by midday….

Salmon-Early morning and low light conditions, a white panel flasher with a Gary Rueb Black Jaw fly-ghost fly has taken several fish this past week. When the skies brighten up, we’ve been switching to more chromes and flies that are silver or a mix of blues and greens. 65-90 feet has been the most productive depth still.

Lakers-Most of the lakers we found this week were 115-130 feet deep, wandering around some of the deep flats between deep drop-offs and ledges. 3/4 ounce jigs with a 4.8” Kietech sightflash paddletail caught all our fish.
