Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks issued an emergency closure for the Sun River on July 23 due to construction work.
The Sun River is located in Teton County and Lewis and Clark County. The closure is from 500 feet upstream to 500 feet downstream of the Sun River Bridge, also known as the Pishkun Road Bridge. The construction work is to replace the Sun River Bridge.
The closure will remain in place until either the emergency rule expires or the construction is complete and the department determines the area is safe for the public to use.
