Don Wilkins’ Weekly Fort Peck Fishing Report 7.17.25

Salmon fishing on Fort Peck is heating up!

The salmon fishing on Peck has been great this past week. Most of our fish have been caught using 8” flashers and trolling flies, running leaders between 20-22”. The few fish we’ve caught using 11” flashers. Our leader length was 27-29 inches.

Trolling speed has been 2.1-2.3, and most of the fish have come off the gear running right about 60 feet with others caught from 40 to 90 feet down. Overall, water depth has varied from 105 feet out to 180 feet, just covering the area until we find some active fish.

There seem to be quite a few fish in the system this year, and it’s looking to be a great fall of salmon fishing.

Good luck out there!
