A Retail Adventure for an Elk

An elk left a police officer with the oddest call of the day…

Meanwhile, in Colorado, a casual stroll through Estes Park, just outside Rocky Mountain National Park, turned unexpectedly more interesting when an elk decided to go shopping. Without so much as a glance at the “no pets” sign, the elk wandered right into a gift shop, leaving surprised tourists and trinkets in its wake. ‘The Marmot’ recorded the scene from outside the store and shared it in a social media group online. Apparently, while reversing the typical roles, this elk wanted to show tourists what it’s like when wildlife approaches humans. The task of ushering it out fell upon a police officer, proving once again that in the Rockies, wildlife has a way of…well….being wild and unpredictable.
