CURRENT REPORT

The Missouri is fishing very good.  It can be tough if you don’t have the right flies, but when you do it’s on.  Dry fly action has been good, especially on the cloudy days.  BWO’s, some midges and Caddis are all on the menu.  Caddis will continue to get better as it warms up.  Emergers and Cripples seemed to be getting eaten more than the duns.  The X-Caddis or Pupas seem to be getting the most love when the fish are looking for Caddis.  Nymphing mayflies with a sow bug 5-6′ below your bobber has been the way to go.  A couple split shot to get it down and you’re ready.

Looking Forward

PMD’s coming soon!  Dry fly fishing will continue to be an option for a while now.
