Kalispell Fishing Report 5.21.25

Rare late May fly fishing conditions are prime on Kalispell-area rivers—but with warm weather coming soon, now’s the time to go!

The following report is via Bigfork Anglers:

Typically late May is peak run-off season but cold weather and snow in the high country locked up the snow melt and dropped all our rivers back into shape. We are looking at some rare late May fishing opportunities on our freestone rivers but it won’t last long. If you’re in or around the Kalispell area for the next week and want to get a fly fishing float trip in on one of our rivers, things are looking good. The Flathead River, Clark Fork River, Blackfoot River and Swan River are all in shape! We are looking at mid 70’s pushing 80 degree weather early next week so the rivers will all turn back up. Go now!
