FWP is hosting a fun run at Brush Lake State Park to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the park. The run will take place on Saturday, June 7, and there is both a 2.5K and 5K. Registration will start at 9:30 a.m., with the runs set to begin at 10 a.m.
The run will take place at Brush Lake State Park and will consist of a loop on roads around the east side of the park (one lap for the 2.5K and two laps for the 5K). This is a fun run, and no places will be recorded or awarded, but there will be a clock going to orally give runners their time as they cross the finish line.
Runners should make sure to get there early, as the first 50 people to register will receive a free commemorative T-shirt! Local community members jumped in to contribute to the T-shirts, with elementary art student Jorgia Shackelford drawing the winning artwork design for the T-shirt, and local business The North Post printing the T-shirts at a discounted price!
