Don Wilkins’ Weekly Fort Peck Fishing Report 5.29.25

Bite’s on! Walleye, smallmouth, and pike are all playing nice—just bring your jigs, plastics, and a bucket of minnows…

Walleye-decent bite down the dry arm pitching jigs with plastics/minnows and pulling minnows along with 3/8 ounce or heavier jigs,10-20 feet.

Smallmouth-still finding some pre-spawn fish but more starting to transition off the spawning areas and back to structure, Jigs and plastics and slip bobber/jigs with fathead minnows have been working well. Most of our fish have been caught in less than 10 feet of water.

Pike-still some great pike fishing out there. Spoons, jigs and plastics, shallow running crankbaits, and minnows are all working well. Lots of fish from the shoreline out to 15 feet.
