Ice on way out at Tongue River Reservoir

With a burst of warm winds, the ice vanishes almost overnight—spring is on the horizon, and boating season is just around the corner!

And just like that, some heavy, warm winds and the ice is gone in a day or so except for a few chunks at the north end. See photos below. I expect those remaining chunks to be melted very quickly.

Winter season is over and boating season now begins. The docks are not in yet as that is usually the next question. Repairs are being made.

Expect one more chilly weekend, and then make way for spring!!
