In Red Lodge, MT, one house cat got the shock of its nine lives when it found itself in a full-on staring contest with a bobcat—right in the yard. Whiskers (let’s call him that for dramatic effect) was going for his daily stroll and came across a big kitty. The two locked eyes, debating who the real king of the neighborhood was. Whiskers puffed up like a Halloween decoration, while the bobcat was unimpressed. It was a classic Montana moment, where the lines between domesticated and untamed get just a little blurry.
