Trump Jr. Faces International Duck Poaching Probe

Donald Trump Jr.’s hunting trip in Italy just went from a wild adventure to a legal quagmire after he allegedly poached a rare duck—now, the hunt is on for answers.

Donald Trump Jr. is now under official investigation in Italy after allegedly poaching a rare Ruddy Shelduck during a December hunting trip. Though his team insists they had the proper paperwork, Italian law protects this species, and critics—led by politician Andrea Zanoni—are calling it a clear case of illegal hunting. A video from the trip shows Trump Jr. near an orange-plumed duck, admitting he wasn’t sure what it was. While his team claims the bird may have been killed by someone else, Zanoni argues possession alone could be a violation of the law. With the Venice Public Prosecutor’s Office now involved, Trump Jr. could be facing legal trouble abroad.
