Fort Peck Dam Ice Report by Fort Peck Marina 2.16.25

Thick ice, shifting ridges, and a hot laker bite—bundle up, stay safe, and get ready for a fun week on the ice!

Dam Ice report by Fort Peck Marina 2/16:

Main lake ice is 14-16 inches but pressure ridges have been moving alot the last three days.  Please be careful and check these ridges prior to crossing them.  Just because they were good the day before or even hours before when you crossed them doesn’t mean they haven’t changed.

Bays have 16-18 inches of ice.

Walleye and Northern fishing has remained slow but guys are seeing some fish in 10-20 feet of water on points.

Laker fishing has been really good over the last couple of days.  Fish have been 60-80 feet with blue/Silver/white baits have been working best.

We still have a great supply of live minnows and lots of new Laker and more showing up this week that is proving to be deadly on these fish.  Stop in and see us for the most up to date info and the baits that are driving these lakers nuts.

Stay safe and warm out there it’s going to be a brutal Week with these temps but next weekend we will feel like we are in the Bahamas here at the lake with bigh 30’s and low 40’s projected for this warming trend.  Will be a great week to get out and have some fun.
