Flathead Area Fishing Report via Snappy’s Sport Senter 2.20.25

Here’s the latest from Montana Outdoor Approved Snappy’s Sport Senter with the fishing scene!

Foys Lake – Approximately 6-8 inches of ice. There is a good Salmon bite in shallow depths. A few Rainbows being caught off the shoreline at depths of 20’-30’.

Smith Lake – Approximately 10+ inches of ice reported. We are still finding some Pike off Tip-Ups. The perch bite is beginning to slow down.

Bitteroot Lake – Approximately 5-6 inches of ice with layered with significant snow and some slush. Reports that some Salmon are biting in 80’ depths using Swedish pimples and Halis.

Lower Thompson Lake – Approximately 10+ inches of ice. The Salmon bite has slowed down a bit, but we are still finding decent Perch in depths of about 20’-25’.

Lake Mary Ronan – Approximately 8+ inches of ice. The Perch bite is still steady at depths of about 20’.

McGregor Lake – Approximately 6-8 inches of ice with layered slush and snow. We have been finding a few Rainbows up shallow and some Lakers around 80’-100’ depths.

Ashley Lake – Approximately 8+ inches of ice. Good limits of Kokanee being caught in the morning.

Whitefish Lake – Approximately 3-5 inches of ice. Ice conditions are extremely variable with some snow and slush on top.

Blanchard Lake – Approximately 8 inches of ice. We are still catching some decent Pike but be aware of spearing holes!

Reminder no matter the thickness “No Ice is Safe Ice”
