Scoring 153, it didn’t quite hit the 160 mark for the Boone and Crockett record books, but let’s be honest—Grace doesn’t look like she was too concerned about that. Some trophies are about more than numbers, and this buck is a perfect example!
Pat Roth knew how to hunt in style—rocking his best plaid shirt, he posed with this monster bull elk back in 1966. Taken near Doris Creek in Flathead County, Montana, this elk scored an impressive 375-7/8 points. That’s the kind of hunt that earns you bragging rights for life—and maybe even a free round at the local watering hole, if you’re old enough, of course.
Back in 1971, Darrell Brist was hunting the thick stuff in Lake County, Montana, when he spotted this bruiser of a whitetail. With his .338 Winchester Mag and a clean 120-yard shot, Darrell bagged a buck that scored 173-1/8 points. This giant isn’t just any deer—it’s the second-biggest typical whitetail ever recorded in Lake County and holds the #42 spot for all of Montana, according to Big Game Records Live. Not a bad day in the woods at all!
