Don’t Let Your Ice Fishing Shanty Relocate Itself

Ice fishing is fun, but watching your shanty roll away? Not so much….

If you think watching your hat blow away in the wind is bad, imagine seeing your entire ice fishing shanty (or ice “hut”, “house”, “shack”…whatever you personally call them) sliding across the lake like a rogue Zamboni! Just like parking an RV, which this just happens to be, you definitely need to make sure your setup stays put—because the last thing you want is to be chasing your hard water home base down the ice.

Check out this prime example of what can happen when Mother Nature decides to take your shanty for a spin. This footage was taken in Wisconsin, but this is pretty scary.
