Oldest wolf in Yellowstone National Park dies

The oldest wolf living in Yellowstone National Park died on Christmas Day.

The oldest wolf living in Yellowstone National Park died on Christmas Day.

Wolf 907F was more than 11 years old. Since wolves were reintroduced to the park in 1995, only six wolves have been known to live that long. The oldest wolf recorded in the park died at 12.5 years old.

Wolf 907, leader of the Junction Butte pack, died of injuries sustained when another pack attacked on Dec. 22.
