Missoula, MT August 6, 2024) – At approximately 5:15 p.m. on August 5, 2024, 911 Dispatch received a call for a missing swimmer near the west end of Seeley Lake.
Seeley-Swan Search and Rescue was mobilized and responded to the Seeley Lake Campground along with Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Deputies to search for the missing swimmer. Missoula County Search and Rescue was mobilized and responded to the Seeley Lake Campground to aid in search efforts.
Sadly, the swimmer, a 15-year-old male from Washington state, was located deceased shortly after 8:00 p.m. Please keep the family, friends, and first responders in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
