Hey boaters! It’s still winter in Montana, but open water is showing up in some places. With spring on the horizon, whether you’re a seasoned skipper or just dipping your toes into the boating scene, it’s crucial to keep a few things in mind for smooth sailing out on the water.

First off, let’s talk etiquette: always be mindful of other boaters, kayakers, and swimmers sharing the waves. Give ’em plenty of space and keep those wake speeds in check, nobody likes a rogue roller coaster!

And safety first, folks: life jackets are your best mates out there, so make sure everyone onboard has one that fits snug as a bug.
