This mountain lion appears to be checking if anybody is working so it can show off its meal…or something.

Mountain lions are adaptable hunters known to prey on a variety of animals, including deer and smaller species like raccoons. Their opportunistic nature means they’ll seize the chance to hunt raccoons, especially since raccoons are active at night, coinciding with the mountain lions’ hunting time. Although raccoons aren’t their primary prey, mountain lions may still target them, especially when other food sources are scarce. Additionally, mountain lions may scavenge carrion, like raccoon carcasses, as an energy-efficient feeding strategy.
