January 30 update: The ice thickness is still the same. There is slush on top due to melting snow. Pressure ridges are still a concern, so be cautious. Keep in mind that just because the ridges only look to be a few feet across, the ice on either side is also compromised. Go around them.…

January 30 update: The ice thickness is still the same. There is slush on top due to melting snow. Pressure ridges are still a concern, so be cautious. Keep in mind that just because the ridges only look to be a few feet across, the ice on either side is also compromised. Go around them. Never try to jump over!! We want everyone to be safe.
The fishing bite is still awesome. Northern and walleye have moved closer to shore, around 14 to 24 ft. Lakers are still in 25 to 60 and suspended.
