Canyon Ferry: Walleye are being caught north of White Earth in 15 feet of water and between Confederate and Pond 1 in 20 feet of water while using bottom bouncers or crankbaits in various colors. Jigs with worms are producing walleye also. Rainbows and perch are being caught as well with the same lure and worm combinations. Hauser: Rainbow fishing has been great at the Causeway, around York Bridge and near Spokane Bay while using crawlers and a marshmallow, nymphs under an indicator, or trolling pink and silver crankbaits or spoons. Walleye fishing has been good while using perch-colored jigs tipped with crawlers in 10 to 20 feet of water inside the Causeway Arm, near Black Sandy, and around Devil’s Elbow. Holter: Rainbow fishing has been great throughout the lower end of the reservoir while trolling pink and silver crankbaits or spoons and while fishing from shore with crawlers and a marshmallow or a floating jig. An occasional kokanee salmon is being caught while fishing for rainbows. Helena Valley Regulating Reservoir: The snagging season for Kokanee Salmon opened on September 1st and will run through October 31st. Limits are 35 salmon daily with 70 in possession. Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena
