BILLINGS – Grey Bear Fishing Access Site (FAS), located on the Yellowstone River west of Big Timber, will be used as a staging area for a riprap construction project on the Yellowstone Trail bridge. The work is anticipated to last from mid-October to early November. Heavy equipment and materials will be present at the FAS during this time, but the site will remain open for public use.

Public users will have access to launch and retrieve boats at the FAS during the project but are advised to use caution while on the river near the active construction site. Parking will be limited in the boat ramp area. Additional parking is available south of the boat ramp area.

This project will reinforce and repair riprap along the bridge following impacts from the 2022 flood.
