The Captain was walleye fishing on Fort Peck this week. It was as close to walleye heaven as you can get on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Gary Rueb from Plentywood joined him on Tuesday, and Brian Olson jumped in the boat on Wednesday.  Most of the walleyes that were caught were big post-spawn females (pictured). They were released.  A few smaller males were caught, as well.  They caught one bass and many northern pike.

The bite was pretty good for a lot of other anglers, too.  Catching a couple of 30-inchers in a day is a great day. Brian Olson managed three in that category on Wednesday.  Nice going, Brian!
