Wowza!  In out-of-state news, check out this monster black crappie that angler James King, out of Georgia, caught on the Coosa River last month.  The whopper was shared on social media by the Wildlife Resources Division of Georgia DNR and weighed in at 3 pounds, 11 ounces.

Some fisheries biologists even reported that this was the biggest crappie they’d encountered in their careers. “This is also the biggest crappie submitted for an angler award in over 20 years”, according to Georgia DNR’s electronic records.
The state record for black crappie in the state was set back in 1971 and tied in 1975 at 4 pounds, 4 ounces.

What a catch!
