J.G.: Ice is 25″ or better, big hill might be a little icy got snow yesterday. Most of the bays are producing northerns 6 to 10 feet. Smelts seams to be working slightly better then minnows.

R.R.: James. any new ridges form in the last week?

J.G.: not new but they have changed, it was cold for a several days and the ice has expanded! The bigger problem is some of the points that are usually open, have froze over and have a couple inches of ice on them makes them look okay but they are not. Stay about 200 yrds of shore until your ready to fish and you will be fine! Stop by the Marina Clint will tell you what areas to avoid.
