Fort Peck is full of outdoor recreation opportunities.  In addition to ice fishing, if you want to take advantage of the groomed trail system, you can grab your cross-country skis or just even walk the trail.  They just groomed it on December 29th according to a post on social media by the USACE – Omaha District – Fort Peck Dam and Lake.

Bring your XC skis to Fort Peck. The trail was groomed today. Varying snow conditions, but temps are forecast in the high 20s with minimal wind for the next few days.

In the comments section, somebody had asked where the best place to start was, and the USACE responded with, “maybe at Stillwater Rd. Or the Nature Trail in Kiwanis.”
