The Second-Chance Lottery Just Got a Live Leaderboard

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks has randomized the June 1 Alternates List for nonresident combo licenses. Hunters can check their rank online through MyFWP. If selected, they have five days to purchase the license. Availability continues until December 1, so keeping your email updated is crucial.

Missed out on a Montana nonresident combo license? Don’t hang up your boots just yet. Montana FWP (Fish, Wildlife & Parks) just announced in a press release that the June 1 Alternates List has been officially randomized, and you can now check your place in line online.

Here is the quick breakdown of how this hunting musical chairs works:

  • The Hustle: When other hunters return their big game, elk, or deer licenses, FWP passes them down the line.
  • The Wait: Check your current rank by logging into your MyFWP account.
  • The Clock: If your number gets called, an email will fly your way. You only have 5 days to buy the license before it passes to the next hunter.
  • The Window: Licenses can pop up anywhere between now and December 1, so make sure your email is updated.

May the odds be ever in your favor. Log into MyFWP to see if you’re next on the roster!
