Big Fish Club: Ed Darnell’s 31-Inch Walleye

Edmond Darnell caught a stunning 31 1/4-inch walleye, setting a personal record and earning membership in the Big Fish Club after an exciting fishing trip with Eddie Mindt.

The water was feeling generous today, but Edmond Darnell and Eddie Mindt were clearly the ones calling the shots. After a warm-up round of “eaters” and a pike that put up a decent scrap, Ed decided to stop playing around and rewrite his personal record book.

He managed to boat a 31 1/4-inch walleye—the kind of golden-scaled monster that usually only exists in “you should’ve seen the one that got away” stories. This time, however, the proof was in the net. Huge congrats to Ed for officially graduating to the Big Fish Club; that’s one heck of a way to break the ice on a lifetime first!
