Don Wilkins’ Weekly Fort Peck MT Fishing Report 1.30.26

Ice conditions in the McGuire area were 14”, with good walleye and pike fishing. Rock Creek’s ice is 9-10”, and northern fishing has been excellent using 4-6” suckers and shiner minnows.

Ice in the McGuire area was 14” when we were last there on Monday. The fishing for walleye and pike was still very good in 12-20 FOW.

We moved into Rock Creek this week, and the ice in the immediate North Rock Creek area was 9-10”. There’s a big area of ice to the North that was pushed up by the wind that is a huge mess and pretty much impassible.

The northern bite in Rock Creek has been very good. 4-6” suckers and shiner minnows in 10-20 FOW have been working very well.
