Where Montana’s Wolf Harvest Stands Right Now

Not all WMUs are seeing the same wolf harvest activity….

Here is an update via FWP on how Montana’s wolf harvest season is progressing as of December 17, 2025. As of the latest update, 81 wolves have been harvested statewide toward a quota of 452, excluding WMUs 313 and 316. Harvest activity varies by region, with the highest totals reported in Regions 1 and 2, while several regions have yet to record a harvest.

Good luck to the wolf hunters and trappers out there. Please make sure you read the regulations (you can find them here), as things change from year-to-year!
