CFS: 1660
Today they are calling for 21-30mph winds on the Yellowstone, with gusts up to 41 mph. Tomorrow, (Monday 10/27) will be colder, and even a chance of snow. That said the socked in skies and low hanging clouds could bring out the baetis. Streamer fishing could also be good for those who can battle the wind and snow.
Winds look to be much more behaved starting Tuesday through Friday…
The leaves are just past prime and there is a nice dusting of snow making the Yellowstone scenery as stunning as ever! Even if you don’t catch the big brown there have been a lot of plump 15-18″ rainbows on the prowl…
When the clouds come back look for fall baetis to be emerging. Keep an eye out for fish rising in the foam eddies as well as slower, even moving tailouts.
