Don Wilkins’ Weekly Fort Peck Fishing Report 10.16.25

Big smallmouths, active pike, and lakers on the move…

Smallmouth-found some good sized fish up shallower this week in 10-15 FOW. Some were along weed edges but most were on secondary points with a good amount of rocky structure.1/4 ounce jigs and plastics, slip bobbers with fat head minnows, and a couple spoons worked well

Pike-lots of northerns up shallower now. Weed beds in 5-10 FOW held the most fish. Spoons, shallow running crankbaits, and some surface plugs are all catching fish right now

Lakers-fish are still sitting out on the deep ledges adjacent to their spawning areas but we did find some up in 45-55 feet. Water temp was 59 on Wednesday so they should start showing up shallower every day now
