Don Wilkins’ Weekly Fort Peck Fishing Report 10.3.25

Fall fishing is heating up with Lakers deep, Smallmouth hitting paddletails, Pike chasing spoons in the weeds, and salmon stacking in the bays..

Lakers-fish are still holding out in 115-135 FOW. Cooler temps in the forecast should start to bring surface temps down and get the fish moving shallower to start to spawning

Smallmouth-bigger fish are deeper off rock structure still. 3.3-3.8” Kietech paddletails and VMC 1/4 ounce jigs were the deal for us this past week

Pike-still having some good success targeting shallow weedbeds with spoons and Blue Fox spinners.Little bit of a top water bite starting up as well

Lots of salmon being snagged in the Fort Marina and Duck  Creek bays. The cleaning stations are closed for the season so you’ll need means to clean your fish and dispose of the carcasses
