Don Wilkins Weekly Fort Peck Fishing Report 9.5.25

Big salmon on flashers and flies, lake trout stacked deep, and steady walleye and pike action on crankbaits make for excellent fishing right now…

Salmon-Finding some good fishing out there mostly using 11” flasher and fly combos. Bright chrome panel flashers and blue/silver,blue/green flies have been working the best, along with some Brads plugs. Green Magic and Blue Jack full-size have been the best plug colors. The area west of the Marina towards duck creek and east towards shafthouse point has had the better concentrations of fish.

Lake Trout– Still finding the bigger schools out deep in 115-135 FOW water, mainly on flats and deep humps.

Walleye/Pike-Caught some good eater walleye pulling crankbaits in 30 FOW and some good pike in 20-15 FOW. Rapala fire tiger TD 11’s and Salmo freedivers caught the most fish for us.
