Big Rock Fishing Access Site to temporarily close beginning July 21 due to construction improvement project

Big Rock Fishing Access is getting a facelift;…

BILLINGS – Big Rock Fishing Access Site (FAS), located on the Boulder River near Big Timber, will temporarily close to all public access beginning Monday, July 21, due to a construction improvement project.

The construction will include the development of several new campsites and improvements to the access road and parking area at the FAS. Site closure duration is subject to change based on project completion but is anticipated to last from two to four weeks. The Boulder River will remain open to floating and boating through the site, but the public will not be able to launch or retrieve watercraft at this site.
