Don Wilkins’ Weekly Fort Peck Fishing Report 6.11.25

From walleye in the shallows to salmon in the deep, fishing action is heating up across the board….

Walleye – The majority of our fish were caught pulling around shiner or creek chub minnows in 16-18 FOW,1/4 ounce jigs and plastics. We fished deeper and picked up the few nicer fish this week.

Smallmouth – Fishing off shore rockpiles and rocky points with slip bobbers and minnows was the deal this past week.

Lake trout – Best fishing the past week has been in 85-105 FOW on points close to the old river channel and isolated humps out on some of the deeper flats.

Salmon – Several salmon were caught again last week. Some shallow pulling crankbaits for other fish and others caught on flasher/fly set-ups with downriggers. We managed to get one in the boat jigging lakers, as well. It’s shaping up to be a great year for salmon numbers.
