Jefferson River Fishing Report 6.3.25

The Jefferson is still running high and muddy, but for those watching the windows—there’s gold in the murk if you time it right.

The following fishing report is from Fins and Feathers out of Bozeman:

Current Conditions

The Jefferson River has been dropping nicely, but it is still relatively high and dirty.

In summary, while the Jefferson River is currently challenging to fish due to spring runoff, attentive anglers who monitor conditions and are prepared to act quickly during brief windows of improved clarity may find rewarding opportunities. As the season progresses and runoff subsides, fishing conditions are expected to improve.

We expect the river to come up in flow once again as the Big Hole begins to “blowout” at some point in the next week.
