Paddlefish Harvest Estimate for First Week of 2025 Paddlefish Season

Paddlefish harvest is off to a solid start, but with river flows dropping, this weekend may be slower—plus a few key reminders to keep your season legal and smooth….

Following is the most recent paddlefish harvest estimate summarizing the first week of the 2025 paddlefish season. River flows have dropped significantly so harvest this weekend may be slower than opening weekend.

A few reminders:

Bretz RV Below Post

*The jaw sample drop boxes are just for that purpose only. Leaving a sample is NOT the same as completing your mandatory reporting. Please make sure you still call your fish in or report it on MyFWP.

*The Intake fish cleaning station is NOT the same as mandatorily reporting either – if you take your fish to get cleaned, please still call it in or report it on MyFWP.

*Reporting can be completed by calling 1-877-FWP-WILD or 406-444-0356 or logging your harvest online at https://myfwp.mt.gov/fwpExtPortal/login/login.jsp

*A current year UNUSED paddlefish tag is required to participate in catch-and-release. If you have already harvested your fish, you cannot catch-and-release for paddlefish.
